National Black Theater Festival
Monday, August 1, 2022 to Sunday, August 7, 2022 at Winston Salem, North Carolina
 
Due to COVID-19 this event has been canceled for 2021.  It is planned for 2022.

The National Black Theater Festival (NBTF) is held biennial in Winston-Salem, NC.  This event is filled with lots of entertainment options for everyone.  It begins with the gala event on Monday, August 1, 2022 (~$250).  Tuesday – Saturday is filled with lots of free and paid events.  Free events include the Film Fest daily in the mornings, which are short films ranging for 10 minutes to an hour with some having Q&A with the directors and/or actors; workshops; concerts most nights; poetry and the International Vendors Market (Wed – Sat).  Most free events are within walking distance of our hotel.  The highlight of the NBTF are the live plays Tuesday – Saturday.  Plays start 3:00pm, 8:00pm and late night at 10:30pm and prices range from $10 - $70 per play.
