***A GREAT SUCCESS!***

 Jim Dandy Ski Club's
60th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Weekend

Members are still buzzing about the 60th Anniversary celebration.  Current and former members, NBS Officers and club presidents came from all over the USA to join in the festivities.  Over 200 were in attendance with over 10 Jim Dandy past presidents as well as a host of family and friends.

A very special thanks goes to Event Chairwoman Rita Leapheart-Coleman and her hard working committee of volunteers for their selfless dedication to make sure we all had a great time!

You can check out many more photos (by official photographer Leya Coleman) on our revamped website.

Are you interested in being a Ski Instructor?

Jim Dandy Members, We received this kind message from Geep Charlebois from Boyne Mountain Ski Resort:

Hello Jim Dandy,
This is going to be my second season as the SnowSports Academy Director at Boyne Mountain. Last year I did not have much of an opportunity to recruit for teaching staff due to how late in the fall I was brought onboard. I have worked in the ski industry for 30 years at resorts near Pittsburgh, Washington, DC, and Seattle prior to moving to northern Michigan.
If you know of anyone that is passionate about SnowSports and has strong teaching skills, I would love to have the chance to speak with them regarding any opportunities we will have for full or part time work with the SnowSports Academy.
Thank you,
Geep Charlebois   geep.charlebois@boynemountain.com

Speaking of Boyne Mountain, several members have been considering the new IKON Base Pass as an economical means of purchasing lift tickets for the upcoming season.  In the past, members purchased the Epic Pass because the season involved Jim Dandy and NBS trips to several Epic resorts (Vail, Breckenridge, Heavenly, etc.).  This year the NBS Summit will take place at Steamboat Springs Resort...an IKON participant.  You should also know that the IKON Pass already gives you access to Blue Mountain, Mammoth Mountainand several other popular resorts.
The BIG news is that IKON just announced that both Boyne Mountain and Boyne Highlands are now participating resorts with the pass purchase (Click HERE).  If you plan to ski at several of these resorts this season (check out the full list), this pass could result in a significant savings on lift tickets.  Check it out and make sure you read all of the fine print about blackout dates and number of tickets available for each resort.

Cyclists: Remember to join us at the Tour de Troit ride coming soon on Saturday, September 15, 2018.
Click HERE for more info on how to register.
